A Quick Composition Guide By Brett Michaud
I want to share a quick Landscape Photography guide from Brett Michaud for this Wednesday’s Photography Tip. There will be more guides for later![/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
Finding Compositions in Nature
If you have ever taken a picture that you felt was going to be epically beautiful only to have it underwhelmed when viewed on the computer, you are certainly not alone. Sometimes the scenes we see in nature just do not translate into a nice image. When I am out shooting, there are a few guidelines that I try to pay attention to. While it is not a foolproof strategy, it has increased the likelihood that I will come away with an image that has potential.
- Adapt to the light and conditions: While beautiful images can be captured at any time of day and in all kinds of light, the type of light you have will dictate the type of photography you should consider. Sunrise and sunset are obvious choices for landscape images, while overcast days resulting in diffused light can be great for more intimate scenes like forests, macro photography and water scenes where bright lights create glare and reflections. Adapt to the type of light and conditions Mother Nature presents you, and your chances of a great shot will be improved.
