Testimony Tuesday: Great Photography Workshop

Testimony Tuesday: Great Photography Workshop

Practical skills and a friendly environment create a great photography workshop.

Whether you are a beginner or advanced photographer, Omnilargess photography classes have lots to offer.

I simplify all hard-to-understand technical terms to easy-to-use skills. Therefore, everyone can enjoy the workshop and take away some new skills.

.

Experience the Great Photography Workshop

Gary Keay @keaybaer is an avid photographer. He took several photography workshops with us, and each time we all had tons of fun during and after the classes.

.

Here is Gary’s testimony after one of the great photography workshops he took a few years ago.

“Hi Ted, Thanks for the great workshop. I always come away with a large amount of knowledge, and I put it to good use.

Particularly with white balance. Looking forward to the next workshop. I would like to pass along some pics of my instructor and his hand signals(smile).”

–Gary Keay

The friendly culture of our classes makes it easy for everyone to crack a joke or two, and Gary used it to make a joke of my hand signals 🙂
Warning: this Gary’s portrait is old. He looks even more handsome after growing the beard! Check his Instagram and Facebook profile at @keaybaer to see it for yourself.
.

I want to thank Gary again for his feedback. Feedbacks help us creating more great photography workshop.
Every Tuesday, I post a testimony from our previous students. Stay tuned for more testimonies.

SUPPORTING NEW PHOTOGRAPHERS

Supporting New Photographers

What all new photographers need is a little confidence. As our previous students rated our classes, supporting new photographers is our primary goal at Omnilargess Photography Classes.

Unleash the Power of Your Artistic Imaginations

For this Tuesday’s Testimony, I picked up Nicole Skutelnik’s testimony and photos.

Nicole Skutelnik is a fantastic artist and jewellery designer. She took our Photography Bootcamp Program.

The Bootcamp program helped her discovering new zones in creativity.

“I’m really happy that I took this course. Thanks to Ted, my photography has improved tremendously. I’m not very mindful of all the rules of composition when taking photos. I feel confident with the knowledge of my camera’s functions. I am constantly the potential for a good photo everywhere I go. It was fantastic. I loved the way each lesson built on the last. The small class size allowed for a personal approach, which I found very useful.  Thanks so much. ?

I am very proud of Sundeep for starting her new adventure in photography and expecting her progress.

I want to invite you to visit our Students Photogallery page to see more of his fabulous pictures. Click HERE to go to Students’ Photogallery.

Photoshop and Digital Camera classes

Why are Omnilargess Photoshop and Digital Camera Classes unique?

There are lots of Photography workshops around and I believe they are all good, but at Omnilargess we approach Digital Camera and Photography, Photoshop classes a little differently than most. We develop our workshops by listening to our students, researching demands in the market, and continually update our workshop content to keep pace with the fast changing technology of digital cameras and software.

Learn how to Shoot and Compose photos like a pro in our Digital Camera classes

Learn how to Shoot and Compose photos like a pro in our Digital Camera classes

We have received many kind letters from our students. These are more than simple “Thank you” letters: many of them have excellent suggestions and we apply those suggestions to our new digital camera classes, Lightroom workshops, and Photoshop courses.

Photoshop and Lightroom classes for beginners to advanced users

Photoshop and Lightroom classes for beginners to advanced users

You can not learn digital photography just by reading books, watching videos, or listening to instructions. You need to learn these techniques and apply them in real life situations. This approach to workshops and teaching is what makes our digital camera classes different from others. Our instructors will walk you through the camera settings and menus, then they show you how, when, and where to use them. Our workshops are a mix of theory and hands-on with an emphasis on the practical aspects of photography. For example a photographer does not need know the accurate colour temperatures of ambient light, but should know how to set the camera to capture more natural looking colour by using the custom White Balance. This is why our digital camera classes focus on practical applications and give you the opportunity to use these techniques in a realistic scenario. In this testimony you notice how our simple rule of “Practical Aspects of Digital Camera Technology” helped one of our Digital Camera Bootcamp students to not only start her new adventure in photography, but also helped her to get more interested in taking her photography skills to the next level. “I actually took Ted’s photography Bootcamp program because I bought my son a digital camera for his birthday and he asked if I would take the class with him.  I intended on sharing my son’s camera with him for the program, but after the first class I ran right out and bought my own camera.  I knew NOTHING about how to work this camera, other than how to turn it on.  Ted was a fantastic teacher!  By the end of the program I was feeling like a professional.  I highly recommend this photography Bootcamp to anyone that owns a digital camera and would like to know what all the fancy buttons are about.  You may even get hooked like me!  I look forward to taking many more of Ted’s classes at Omnilargess.  Thank you so much Ted!”  Natalie Stephenson   Natalie sent us some amazing photos and her permission to share them with you. Enjoy the pictures and check our Upcoming Workshops to find a class that you’d like to join. You can read more testimonies on our Testimonials page and let me know if you have any questions or suggestions for us. We love to hear from you!

Digital Camera Bootcamp Testimonial

I haven’t had a chance to update our Testimonial Page recently and I promise to get to it very soon. But this testimonial covers more than just a “thank you” note. It actually shows how you can take your photography to the next level by choosing the right settings in your camera.

Maria Killam,  a Colour Expert and Design Blogger, registered for our Digital Camera Bootcamp and joined us for this 8 week program. At first she didn’t believe that she would learn so much in this bootcamp, but now that we are almost at the end of this workshop, she realized  how much she has learned and how easy it is for her to control the camera to create the image that she is after.  Here is what she wrote to me:

Maria Killam

Maria Killam

“I have had my DSLR Camera for over 2 years and had no idea how to use it. As a colour expert, decorator and design blogger, it’s so important for me to have pretty images on my blog. I had tried many times to take photos that included a window but my automatic functions (auto settings in camera) would not allow it. That one day when I learned how to turn an image from dark and bleak to a light filled space was worth the entire price of the course. Your patience and sense of humour with a bunch of novices in the class was great! Thanks again for a great boot camp! I look forward to learning more from you! Thank you so much!”

    Good Morning Ted
Thanks so much for the workshop yesterday!  It was probably one that I have learnt the most at in one session.  I appreciated the ‘hands on’…teaching, giving an assignment and then available to give input as needed.  I had some ‘aha’ moments where I learnt more about my camera and finally understood some of my exposure issues.  I loved understanding more about exposure and lighting and the various tips given to make adjustments on my camera to capture the best shot available.
    Thanks again!

         Hi Ted.

Yet another great course! All the information that you provide is very helpful. I found that in some ways I am already using some of what you were explaining to us but any advice is good advice and most welcomed. I find that I must play more with the camera to find better ways to take shots. I am not good with people in a shot due to movement by them. More experience will help. I think for myself that I may want to take the basic course  again so that I can become more familiar with the different setting in the camera, such as vivid and landscape and so forth. Let me know if one is coming up please.

The picture that you enhanced came out very good considering what you had to work with. I would like to learn how to shoot in the RAW format but my editing skills are real bad because I have not figured out how to work with Photo Shop and the photo program that came with the camera
( PEF ) is hard to work with. I am afraid I will lose the picture I am working with or not be able to change it back. My fears however Ted.

I sent a few more than 3 pictures from the course but sent them small so as not overload your inbox. Please if you with use any you find ok in your blog.

Again thanks Ted for a great day and hope many more can come. Bruce Warren.

        Photography Workshop

On October 2nd, I had my Outdoor Fall Color Photography workshop. Here is a short story of what happened! The weather was nice and crisp. It didn’t rain, and we had a little bit of sunshine now and then! After one hour of technical discussion we started to walk around Fish trap creek Park and I share some tips on how to get the best possible images even in an overcast day. After lunch break we went to Gardener Park and I talked about more hidden possibilities in almost all DSLRs.
