Take Better Photos This Family Day
In parts of Canada, Family Day (French: Jour de la famille) is a statutory holiday occurring on a Monday in February. Therefore, It means that we all can have an extra day off to spend with family and loved ones. So, get your camera ready and take photos this Family Day and create a long lasting memories for years to come.
I want to wish you all a Happy Family Day and share few photography tips that can help you taking better photographs.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”22288″ img_size=”600×400″ add_caption=”yes” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_rounded” onclick=”link_image” css_animation=”slideInRight” title=”Family Photographs”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”Tips for Family Photography” font_container=”tag:h2|font_size:35|text_align:left|color:%23aa3300|line_height:1″ use_theme_fonts=”yes” css_animation=”fadeIn”][vc_column_text]Photographing family members is always a challenge for all photographers. However, you can use these tips to make it a little easier!
- Kids and pets move so quickly. Therefore, to avoid motion blur, use a faster shutter speed.
- For the same above reason, Use the Continues Drive mode. So, the camera will take three to four shots. Just in case if the subject moves or blinks, you will have more photos to choose.
- High ISO setting can result in grainy images. However, if you use Auto ISO, camera will set the ISO to the minimum value to maintain the exposure.
- Since the backlight or lack of backlight can force the camera to overexpose or underexpose photos, I suggest using Center Weighted Metering mode. In this mode camera meters the light for the centre for up to 75%. Therefore, you get a better exposure.
By the way, Highstreet Shopping Centre in Abbotsford runs a Family Day Photography event on Monday February 18th. It is a FREE photography event that everyone is welcomed to have their photos taken by pros for free.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”22293″ img_size=”600×300″ add_caption=”yes” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_rounded” onclick=”link_image” css_animation=”slideInRight”][vc_column_text]To celebrate family day, our office is closed on Monday February 18th.
