Lenses for Portrait Photography
For this Wednesday’s photo tip, I want to talk about perfect lenses for portrait photography.
There are several essential factors that a photographer should consider for selecting a proper lens for portraitures. Here is a short list of them:
Lenses suitable for Portrait Photography
Generally speaking, a lens with a lower f-number will serve the best. As with a wide-open aperture, you can achieve a very shallow depth of field.
1- Telephoto lenses
Telephoto lenses are very desirable among portrait photographers. Any focal length equal to or greater than 70mm will fit in this category.
2- Wide Angle lenses
Although using a wide-angle lens for portraits is unorthodox, wide-angle lenses can create some fabulous results. It all depends on your lighting and composition.
