Lightroom Quick Tip on Folders and Collections?

Lightroom provides various ways of organizing pictures. This variety causes some confusion. Here is a quick clarification for you.

Lightroom Folder Tip

Lightroom Folders are the actual location of an image in the hard drive. Therefore, a photo resides inside a particular folder. If you need to have a picture in several folders, you need to copy the photo, which results in having multiple copies of an image.

Lightroom Collection Tip

On the other hand, Collections are Virtual location of pictures, which means an image can remain in several Collections, without being copied.

Here you have it; a short and quick explanation of these two powerful Lightroom Organizing methods.

Omnilargess Photography workshops focus on many hidden features in digital cameras and editing software. These hidden features assist photographers in taking their photography skills to the next level.

I dedicate a good portion of our digital camera workshops and Editing classes to discuss these hidden features.

Digital Camera Crash Course is one of our most popular photography courses. This two-week program is in four sessions, and each session consists of theories and hands-on practices.

Our next Digital Camera Crash Course starts on September 26th, 2020. There are only a few spots left.

We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.
