Outdoor Digital Photography Class Fraser Valley

Outdoor Digital Photography Class

On July 22nd we had our Outdoor Digital Photography class in Abbotsford area. It was a day full of Fun and photography experience!

The weather was not as good as we wanted to but hey we are photographers and the weather can not stop us, Right?

We started the day by simply shooting at Shutter or Aperture priority. Then we learned about different Metering Mode in digital Cameras and how or when to use them. Here are some photos:

Then we moved on and I covered some topics in composition rules. By this time everybody needed a break so we went to the playground. Wwwhat! Everyone has a child inside!! While in the playground we not only played but also shot some amazing photos. Here are some photos for you:

One of the participants (Heather) shared some of her photos with us and I like all of the but this one is amazing!

It shows that even in an overcast day if you search hard enough you will find some interesting subjects to photograph.

Then we moved to the last part of our workshop and I talked about Auto White Balance, Presets, and Custom white Balance. White Balance is very important in Digital photography especially if you shoot in Jpeg. You can sign up for our Photoshop class about colour adjustment and learn how to remove colour cast from your images. But I prefer to do it right in first place, while shooting.

We also had a chance to talk about HDR (High Dynamic Range) and here is a sample that I did quickly:

Our next Outdoor Photography adventure is on August 13th from 6-10PM and it is focusing on Urban Youth photography. Please sign up quickly as there are only few spots left.
