Be more creative with Photoshop Elements or CC

I recently changed my profile image on Facebook and apparently many liked it! I took the photo in my office while explaining to a client how to set up a Photo Booth. He wanted to rent the equipment but was not sure how to best use it.

 

As you can see it is a not-too-pleasing image due to a very busy background.

After he rented the equipment and left I started to delete the images that we took during the set up. Then I noticed I kind of liked the composition of this image, but as mentioned the background was just too distracting.

Here comes the creativity of being a Digital Guru to the rescue! I opened the picture in Photoshop and in less than 5 minutes the digital magic happened to create a totally different look with a very pleasing background.
