Lenshood

Quick Camera Tip: LENS HOOD

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Should You Use A Lens Hood?

Previously, I talked about different lenses, and I received many questions regarding using a lens hood. The simple answer to these questions is “DEFINITELY Yes.” Here is why.

.

1- Protection:

Lens hoods provide reasonable protection for the lenses. They absorb impacts and prevent smudge and fingerprints up to some points.

.

2- Preventing Lens Flare

Although Lens flare may look attractive in some photos, it isn’t charming most of the time! Lens Hoods are the best tool for avoiding unwanted Lens Glare (Flare).

.

3- Why Different Shapes of Lens Hoods?

Generally speaking, wide-angle lenses use tulip shape hoods to avoid the darker area around images (vignetting). And telephoto lenses use a deeper lens hood.  [/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”26691″ img_size=”600×600″ add_caption=”yes” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_rounded” onclick=”link_image” css_animation=”fadeIn” title=”Different Shapes of Lens Hoods”][vc_column_text]Since there are too many different shapes and sizes for lens hoods, you should check your lens manual to find the recommended lens hood.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
