Viewfinder Focus Confirmation Light

Digital cameras provide a tremendous amount of information inside the viewfinder. Previously, I discussed a few of them. In this post, I look into viewfinder Focus Confirmation Light.

Focus Confirmation Light

In autofocus mode, this piece of information is not that beneficial. However, when using the Manual Focus, this light is super convenient.

Usually shooting Macro photos or at night photography, photographers prefer to use manual focusing. Therefore, when focusing manually, keep an eye on this indicator. When the light is blinking or off, it means that the subject is out of focus. On the other hand, if it is a solid light, focusing on the focusing point is perfect.

The Focus Confirmation light inside the viewfinder is an asset.

Most cameras make a “Beep” when the autofocus focuses on the subject. However, if you want to be quiet while taking pictures, such as bird photography, you need to turn off the beep. In these situations, the viewfinder confirmation light is a handy feature.
