MOER LIGHTROOM HOTKEY

Lightroom Hotkey for Sorting Photos

Lightroom is the most robust photo management software. Photographers can organize and manage pictures using Lightroom Hotkeys effortlessly. Previously, I covered a few Lightroom hotkeys. In this tip, I will discuss another powerful Lightroom hotkey in photo-management.

Lightroom Hotkey for Rejecting Photos

Let’s admit it; we all get some blurry or out of focus pictures that we want to quickly and safely get rid of them. Lightroom provides a shortcut for this action for us.

Rejecting Photos in Lightroom

You can select photos in Lightroom, and by pressing the letter “X” on the keyboard, you mark them as “Rejected Photos.”

Marking unwanted images as "Rejected,"makes photo management easy in Lightroom.

What happens to Rejected Photos

When you reject a photo, the photo gets a “black Flag” and greyed-out. It means that the rejected pictures are still in Lightroom and marked as “Not Good Images.”

How to Delete Rejected Images

Lightroom makes it relatively easy for photographers to get rid of unwanted pictures just by one click. Here is how it works:

After finishing your project of rejecting photos, go to  PHOTO on the Top Menu Bar, then from the drop-down menu, click on “Delete Rejected Photos.”

If you wish to get rid of the photos forever, select “DELETE FROM DISK” in the next window.

By selecting "Remove From Disk" Lightroom deletes the photos permanently.
