New Year Eve Photography Tips

.

New Year Eve Photography is full of enjoyment and memories. However, we always don’t have time to set the camera properly. Therefore, using a semi-automatic mode, preferably shutter priority, is the best solution.

In this short article, I share a few tips as my last post for 2020.

A few tips the New Year Eve photography:

On New Year Eve, we all are busy partying, but we also want to record the memories. No one has time to fiddle around with camera settings. Therefore, set your camera before the party gets started. Here are a few handy tips:

Get ready for awesome New year Eve Photography

1- Metering Mode:

Average Metering, i.e. Centre-weighted, is the best option.

2- White Balance:

I prefer using Auto White Balance and shoot in Raw format. I can fix the Colour cast later in post-processing.

3- Setting Shutter Speed

To avoid motion blurred, you need to use a faster shutter speed. I suggest shooting at 1/120 sec as a minimum.

4- ISO Setting:

Auto ISO is the best, as your camera picks up the right ISO according to the light. However, you need to set the limit for the Auto ISO. In most recent cameras, you can safely set the high ISO limit to ISO 6400.

Happy New Year

I wish you and your family a Happy New Year and thank you again for being my friend.

Stay safe, and see you next year!
