Outdoor Portrait Workshop Fraser Valley
Come join us on Saturday April 13 for a fun day of learning how to capture great, natural looking moments and personal details in our Outdoor Portrait photography workshop. Using only one hour classroom instruction and mostly hands on experience, you will learn some of the technical aspects of controlling light and exposure and using modifiers to help create the shot you are looking for. The Outdoor Portrait Photography workshop will be balanced with ideas to get your creative juices flowing and to assist in your interpersonal interactions with clients. Gain the confidence you need to shoot in all kinds of locations with all kinds of people. If you have ever had difficulty shooting on bright sunny days, cancelled a photo shoot because of rain, or tried photographing subjects that seemed uncomfortable in any pose – this workshop is for you!
Topics will include:
Tips and tricks for indoor locations
Choosing a good outdoor location
Interacting with people
Guide lines and composition
Custom white balance
* Program mode, Shutter Priority, Aperture Priority, and Manual mode
Prerequisites: Digital, Interchangeable lens camera and basic knowledge of camera modes and settings (PSAM*), Fully charged battery, Memory card(s).
Items that will enhance your experience, but are not required: External Flash, Light Disc, ND Filter, Flash Diffuser, Monopod.
Suitable for: The beginner, the portrait enthusiast, the professional who wants to expand their knowledge base or gain fresh ideas.
