Picture Enhancement, A Built-in Feature!
Almost all digital cameras have some in-camera picture enhancement. It is advantageous to learn about this creative feature in digital photography, mainly if you shoot jpg and don’t want to do any post-processing.
I call it “Picture Enhancement,” as it is the right name for this function.
Camera manufacturers use different names for the same function! For instance, Nikon calls it “Picture Control,” Canon names it “Picture Style,” and Sony uses “Creative Style”!
The picture enhancement consists of several presets, such as Neutral, Portrait, Landscape, Vivid, etc. Each preset applies a certain amount of Enhancements, such as Sharpening, Saturation, Contrast, etc. to the image.
I have explained all the highlights of each presets in this article. Click on the link in the Bio section and select “Monday Photo Clue” to read more.
