Composition in Summer Photography Tips
Last week in Summer Photography Tips part 1, I explained some fundamental tips on Exposure. In Summer Photography Tips part 2 I am going to cover few Tips for composition.
Composition is the Art of photography, and like other kinds of arts (especially in Visual Arts), it is very subjective. It means that each artist has a unique point of view. This diversity makes the art an interesting object to study, as each piece of art represents different focal points of different artists, and there is no Right or Wrong here.
Having said that, there are many rules for composition, which I teach few of them in our Digital Photography Bootcamp, it is always good to learn these rules and break or modify them according to one’s artistic taste.

Camera Orientation
Camera Orientation is part of the Balance Rule in Composition. We can hold the camera horizontally (which is called Landscape Mode), or Vertically (which is Portrait Mode). There is no solid rule for a correct camera orientation. It is just the matter of the artist’s taste. Generally speaking by rotating the camera from landscape to portrait mode, you change the view of the scene. So before releasing the shutter, rotate the camera. You may like the vertical shot better!

Camera Height
We all look at the scene from our eye level. As an artist we need to change this focal point for creating dynamic images. Next time when you see a nice flower or scenic mountain, try to change the height of the camera, go a little lower or higher. The result will surprise you.
