Testimony Tuesday: Photography Working Skills

TESTIMONY TUESDAY: LEARN PHOTOGRAPHY WORKING SKILLS

The best photography workshop is the one that teaches us photography working skills.

.

There are many complicated technical explanations in photography techniques. The question is, do you need to learn all of those hard-to-understand concepts? Or you just need to know how to apply the best photography working skills. And that is the point!

.

At Omnilargess photography classes, we focus on skills’ practical uses without getting deep into the baffling theories.

.

James Orr @jamesorr wanted to take nice pictures for his workplace. He took the photography Bootcamp and learned how to use his powerful DSLR properly to create fabulous images. Here is James Orr’s testimony, and I want to thank him for his testimony.

“Hi Ted! Thanks-you so much for putting on such a great class, Digital Bootcamp! Prior to the course, I had only used a point-and-shoot camera for work, but with your instruction, I have been able to take some really good photos with my DSLR. Your instruction was to the point, useful and informative. I have attached a few of my favorite photos taken while attending class.

Thanks again, and I look forward to taking the “manual settings class“ if it fits my schedule.”

-James Orr

Feedbacks like James Orr’s testimony make me proud of what I do as a teacher.

Ted’s Photo Tips: Using Rule of Thirds in Portraitures

Ted’s Photo Tips: Using Rule of Thirds in Portraitures Photography

Rule Of Thirds has many applications in photography composition. In this article, I discuss the effect of using the Rule of thirds in portraitures.

Mainly, using Rule Of Thirds in photography compositions adds more dynamic to images. The same added dynamic applies to portraitures too. Let me explain it in more detail.

.

Reasons for Using Rule of Thirds in Portraitures

Freshman photographers put the model in the centre of the frame without paying attention to the model’s head’s negative space. Therefore, the result would be lots of wasted space at the top of the image.

A pro photographer uses the Rule Of Thirds in Portraitures to get the best use of the frame.

Pro Approach for Rule Of Thirds in Portraitures

In the above photos, I showed how applying the Rule of Thirds in portraiture improves the picture.

Tips on Using Rule Of Thirds in Portraitures

The tips below give you suggestions on how to apply the rule of thirds in portraitures effortlessly.

Using Focus Lock:

In Single Focusing mode, You can half-press the shutter release button to focus on your model; keep holding the shutter button locks the focus. While holding the shutter button, recompose the image to apply the rule of thirds.

Using the Off-Centre Focusing Point :

The ability to select different focusing points is awesome. By selecting an off-centre focusing point, you force your camera to focuses on the model off-centre. Another advantage of this mode is that you can use the Dynamic Focus feature. Therefore, your camera keeps focusing on the model off-centre even if the model moves.
