Quick Camera Tip: CAMERA LENSES

How to Choose Camera Lenses?

Previously, I talked about different camera bodies. And even an entry-level camera offers most controls and settings that you may need. Unlike the camera body, I have a different approach to camera lenses. Here are a few tips:

Pro Lenses vs Kit Lenses

Kit lenses usually are not that sharp. They are mainly made of plastic elements. Therefore, they are fragile, and the image quality always lacks clarity.

Pro lenses may look expensive, but they worth the investment. Most pro lenses maintain their values, and they are very durable.

Using the Proper Lens

We can classify lenses into many different classes. For the sake of this post, I talk about Focal Length.

Wide-angle Lenses

These lenses are perfect for landscape, Scenery, Cityscape, etc., as they cover more area. The images are pleasant, although there may be some image distortion.

Telephoto Lenses

These lenses are usually longer and heavier. They are perfect for taking photos from a distance, such as in Sports or Wildlife photography. Telephotos are Photographers’ choice of lens for portraiture.

There are many more categories for lenses that I cover thoroughly in Photography Bootcamp.

Beginners Photography Bootcamp is a six-week program and includes six classroom sessions and two field trips. Practical exercises and the small class size make it the best camera workshop.

The next Bootcamp starts on September 16, 2021.

Beginners Photography Bootcamp

Bootcamp is the perfect photography class for beginners. It covers every feature of your camera, from exposure settings to advanced focusing modes.
