Regardless of brands, we can classify cameras into three main categories; Entry-level, Prosumer, and professional cameras.  

Entry-level Camera

Prosumer Camera

A prosumer camera is a hybrid of pro cameras and entry-level cameras. Prosumer cameras usually offer a faster frame rate, added quick access to the menu, more durable, and even in some cases, weather-sealed camera bodies, Etc.

If you plan to get into a specific type of photography, such as sports photography, a prosumer camera is your best choice.
