A Quick Tip On Camera Setting For Wildlife Photography

I decided to share a Camera Setting tip every Monday.

This tip is about wildlife photography and how to use a fast shutter speed to freeze the action by @BrettMichaud, our new instructor. [/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”27412″ img_size=”600×400″ add_caption=”yes” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_rounded” onclick=”link_image” css_animation=”fadeIn” title=”Wildlife Photography Tip”][vc_column_text]

Wildlife Photography Tip by Brett Michaud

When capturing Wildlife in action, a fast shutter speed is essential to freeze the animal’s motion. For this image, I wasn’t interested in any blur. Fortunately, it was a nice, sunny day, so I could stop down to f/11 for more depth of field and still have a highspeed shutter of 1/64000 of a second.

It’s important to remember that when photographing birds on flying, it is always wise to overexpose your image by a ½ to 1 full stop, so the bright sky in the background won’t darken the bird.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
