Our workshop consists of two classroom sessions and a field trip with professional models. The classroom sessions cover two distinct styles of portrait photography: natural light portraits and fill-flash portraits.
Natural Light Portrait Class
In the natural light portrait class, you’ll learn how to use natural light to create stunning portraits in various settings. You’ll learn about the best times of day to shoot, how to position your subject, and how to use different camera settings to achieve the desired effect.
Fill-light Portrait Classs
In the fill-flash portrait class, you’ll learn how to use flash to balance the light and create stunning portraits that pop. You’ll learn about different types of flash and how to use them effectively. You’ll also learn about other lighting techniques, such as bounce flash and off-camera flash, and how to use them to achieve different effects.
After the two classroom sessions, we’ll take a field trip to a nearby location with professional models. This is your chance to put your newfound knowledge into practice and take some amazing portraits. Our professional models will allow you to work with experienced subjects who know how to pose and move in front of the camera.
