This image is a blend of several shots. I took one shot for the sky and five shots for the building and foreground.
Then, I combined them using Lightroom and Photoshop.
When photographing the night sky, you must set up your camera to let in every bit of light you possibly can while keeping the stars sharp and focused.
A high ISO of between 1600-3200 is recommended. Opening your aperture up as wide as possible, in this case, f/2.8 and then using the 500 rule to determine the shutter speed of 15 seconds, provided just what I needed for these stars to be visible but not blurry.
It’s important to remember that it is always wise to carry extra batteries when photographing night scenes, as the long exposure drains the battery fast.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
