Lightroom Smart Collections: Work Smarter
One Minute Lightroom Tip.
Lightroom Smart Collections provide remarkable assistance for organizing photos without duplicating images. Here is an example:
Most of the time, I search for fast or slow shutter images. So, rather than checking the metadata of thousands of photos, I created two Lightroom Smart Collections. Therefore, Lightroom places pictures in these collections automatically!
1- In the Lightroom Library module, click on the (+) on the “Collection” tan
2- From the dropdown menu, select “CREATE SMART COLLECTION..”
3- Name your collection. I named this one “Fast Shutter.”
4- Click on the “RATING” and hover over “CAMERA INFO” and select “SHUTTER SPEED.”
5- From the Rules dropdown menu, select “IS LESS THAN OR EQUAL TO” and then set the rule for the minimum shutter speed. In this example, I set it at 1/1000sec. And click on CREATE!
6- That is all there is to it!
You can assign different rules for Lightroom Smart Collections to organize pictures automatically.
