What This Workshop Is About
If you’ve been using Auto mode and want more control over your photos without feeling overwhelmed, this workshop is for you. We’ll focus on semi-automatic shooting modes like Aperture Priority and Shutter Priority, and show you how to use them confidently in real-world situations.
This workshop is split into two parts. The Friday evening classroom session builds a solid foundation, and the Saturday outdoor session puts everything into practice with guided, hands-on shooting.
What You’ll Learn
-
What semi-automatic modes are and when to use them
-
How aperture affects background blur and sharpness
-
How shutter speed affects motion and camera shake
-
How ISO fits into the exposure triangle
-
How to make quick exposure decisions in changing light
-
Practical camera handling and shooting techniques

Why This Workshop Works
This is a small-group, hands-on class designed to help you actually understand your camera, not just memorize settings. You’ll leave knowing how to shoot with confidence in semi-automatic modes and how to keep improving on your own.
