In this workshop, you will learn how to use different settings, such as Shutter Priority, Aperture Priority, different Metering Modes, White Balance, ISO, etc.

A complete six-week photography class for beginners to intermediate photographers

6-Week Bootcamp Program consists of six photography classes and two field trips for daytime and nighttime photography. All sessions include a mix of theory in the classroom and practical preparation.

Participants have opportunities for shooting photographs on field trips then reviewing and discussing images with an instructor.

Part 3: Thursday, June 17, 2021

Metering systems, reading a Histogram, using manual mode, White Balance.

Part 4: Thursday, June 24, 2021

Creative uses for aperture and shutter, depth of field and motion. Selective focus/shallow depth of field workshop.

Part 5: Thursday, July 8, 2021

Composition guidelines – rule of thirds, texture, colour, point of view and seeing in shapes and forms, and Macro Photography guideline.

Part 6: Saturday, July 10, 2021 (Field Trip)

Photo Field Trip (three hours of outdoor photography with instructor). Practical exercises and refining composition and camera control. (Location to be announced)

Part 7: Thursday, July 15, 2021

Review field trip images and Night Scene Photography guidelines.

Part 8: Friday, July 16, 2021 (Night Field Trip)

Nighttime photography field trip to wrap up the Bootcamp. In this final class, you learn how to control your camera fully manually.
