From Camera Settings to Posing 

The Natural Light Portrait Photography Class covers various types of skills, such as camera settings, posing and interaction with models, understanding the light, and so much more.

Classroom session covers camera settings, exposure modes, metering modes, ISO, White Balance, elements that you need to consider for choosing an outdoor spot, modifying light by using reflectors or other modifiers, female and male posing skills, How to create natural looking poses, and more….

This part is all in the field. Your instructor will check camera settings and provide suggestions for participants. All students will be divided into smaller groups made up of three photographers and each group will have a model to work with. Your instructor will be there to answer your questions. This is a three hour session with plenty of time for everyone to shoot the perfect portrait and learn Ted’s list of Do’s and Don’ts.

A camera with manual control (Such as DSLR or Mirror-less camera), a lens with minimum 50mm focal length (please contact us if you have questions regarding your camera and/or lenses), a fully charged battery, memory card, and lot of questions. If you own a reflector please bring it with you. We are going to supply some reflectors and it is always good to have more!
