How to Protect your camera

Photographer’s worst dream is a broken lens or damaged camera. The following cares are to protect your camera and lenses. It is effortless to avoid damage to your photography gear by obeying these manageable rules:

Camera Strap:

The camera strap is your first layer of protection. Fortunately, all cameras come with camera straps. However, you may want to upgrade to a more comfortable strap. An upgraded camera strap is usually more comfortable than a stock strap. Feel free to contact me if you need more input.

Lens Filter:

A high-quality UV Filter is the second layer of protection for your lens. It does not have any effect on pictures but protects your lens. So, if there is an impact, the filter will get the damage and saves the lens.

I wrote a full article about Filters in Digital Photography. Here is the link to the full article:

Camera Bag:

A camera bag protects your camera and lenses while provides a cushioned home for them. A good quality camera bag usually is weather-proof. Therefore, it protects your camera from elements such as dust and rain.

Avoid Moisture

Lastly, Dampness can cause severe damage to our photography gear. Here is a useful tip for you.

Do you remember the small Silica Gel bags? These are real heroes in protecting our cameras! Instead of throwing them out, keep them inside your camera bag. The Silica Gel absorbs the moisture and keeps your camera safe and dry.

Just remember to heat them once in a while to help evaporate extra moisture.

Finally, if you need more information, feel free to contact me. I would be more than happy to help.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”24958″ img_size=”600×400″ add_caption=”yes” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_rounded” onclick=”link_image” css_animation=”fadeIn” title=”Silica Gel Pack”][vc_column_text]
